<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #339966; font-size: large;"><span style="background-color: #cc99ff; text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="background-color: #ccffff; font-size: medium;">About the starry background picture on the One Earth Network pages.</span></strong></span><br /></span></p> <p><span style="color: #ffffff;">.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #3a044c; font-size: small;">The background picture on the One Earth Network Community Homepage, which is also the default background for your profile and most other pages on our site, is a tile made from a remarkable NASA image called 'the Hubble Ultra Deep Field Galaxies'. The original picture is of course much higher resolution and you can <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultra_Deep_Field" target="_blank"> read more about it and view it on wikipedia here</a></span></p> <p><span style="color: #3a044c; font-size: small;">Every speck of light in the original picture is a galaxy with on average a few billion stars - and there are over 10,000 galaxies in this tiny and apparently insignificant piece of our sky. This is what we are surrounded by as far as our souls can see!</span></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="color: #339966; font-size: small;">"Where is Infinity? When is Eternity? How big is Here? How long is Now?"</span></strong></p> <p><span style="color: #3a044c; font-size: small;">The short movie below is a good summation of the story of this images creation and what it means to humanity. Enjoy ~</span></p> <p><span style="color: #ffffff;">.</span></p> <p style="text-align: center;"> <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="750" height="607" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /> <param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/fgg2tpUVbXQ&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1&amp;rel=0&amp;color1=0x402061&amp;color2=0x9461ca" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="750" height="607" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/fgg2tpUVbXQ&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1&amp;rel=0&amp;color1=0x402061&amp;color2=0x9461ca" allowfullscreen="true"></embed> </object> </p> <p><span style="color: #ffffff;">.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #3a044c; font-size: small;">Whilst we are contemplating the awesome magnificence of the Universe I would like to share with you some important information that you may not be aware of. If you still take the theory of the 'big bang' to be scientifically supported then please watch the movies on Plasma Cosmology <a href="blogs/entry/the-Big-Bang-Never-Happened-Plasma-Cosmology-is-a-much-better-model-with-better-implications">in my Journal post here.</a> There are many scientists who are certain that there never was a big bang and that the Universe is organised by Electromagnetic rather than Gravitational forces. Watch the movies to learn more.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #3a044c; font-size: small;">And if you mind has not yet been totally blown by the other movies then I have something else garuanteed to make your head spin :-)<br /><a href="blogs/entry/Growing-Planets">Click here to go to another Journal post about 'the Theory of Expanding Planets'.</a> When I first hear about this I really could not take it seriously. But after watching this movie... the evidence that something of this sort seems to be happening is very impressive indeed !</span></p> <p><span style="color: #ffffff;">.</span></p>
